Chaoyang School of Tsinghua High School held a special training on "Thematic Curriculum Design and Teaching Implementation"
On October 15-16, 2018, the International Department of Chaoyang School of Tsinghua High School and the Primary School jointly held a special training on "Themed Curriculum Design and Teaching Implementation"。The meeting invited Mr. Matti Helimo, Vice Chairman of the Culture and Education Commission of Tampere, Finland; Ms. Pierjo Palorampi, general teacher of Pispara School, Tampere, Finland; Ms. Gao Sixin, general teacher of Pispara School; and Mr. Kang Jianchao, Ph.D., Education Doctor of Beijing Normal University and Director of Sino-Finnish Educational Innovation Research Center, to give guidance to the school。

On the first day of the training, Mr. Matti Helimo and Ms. Pirjo Palorampi gave separate keynote presentations, which mainly introduced the Finnish concept of theme-based teaching and their practice in teaching。

The second part of the activity was presented by Finnish teachers and primary school teachers respectively。Ms. Pierjo Palorampi led the students of Class 3, Grade 4, around the research topic of "water", from understanding the distribution of water resources on the earth to exploring the development and utilization of water resources, and led the students to discuss with each other in group activities, so as to gradually form their own research theme。

Mr. Marboler also brought a well-designed "Building Houses" themed practice。In the activity, Teacher Ma let students use waste cardboard boxes to design houses and build their own "villas", and introduced circuit knowledge on this basis, so that students have the opportunity to show the circuit knowledge learned in science class three-dimensional in their own houses, so that students can really "use" the knowledge。
